Well, almost immediately after the last post, I crashed for about 2 weeks…hmmmm….and ever since I have been dancing on the edge, frequently falling over said edge, of feeling ok. So life has slowed down again, not that I was going that fast. Yesterday was a crap day when staying upright just seemed too exhausting. Today has been a better day tinged with caution.
Still, I finished my first pair of socks, and very nice they look too
The geese are back
I’m on my first week of trying a mainly vegan diet. I started eating fish a year or so ago, after 25years of being a lacto-ovo vegetarian, to see if my health improved. It didn’t. This time I decided that aside from the fact that me and milk don’t get on too well, I could no longer ignore how the milk industry operates. Just waiting to see if my digestion and health find the new diet agreeable. Interestingly so far I have been less hungry and had less food cravings on it than I was when I was eating fish.
But wool and knitting, there’s a thing. I’d never really understood the connection between wool production and meat. I do now. Experiencing the relationship with Bobby, and seeing the lambs in the village, and the goats outside the farm shop, and….oh, just feeling sad. So I’m investigating ways to obtain wool from sheep that have long and happy lives.
Speaking of which, sort of, there’s been some beautiful sunny weather in amongst the April showers
